Robert Roberts, MD, FRCPC, MACC, FAHA, LLD (Hon.), FRSC, FACC, is an outstanding cardiologist and research scientist who currently serves as Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona, which he joined in 2015. As part of his role at the UA College of Medicine - Phoenix, Dr. Roberts teaches molecular biology and genetics of the heart. He is also department chair of the International Society for Cardiovascular Translational Research (ISCTR). Dr. Roberts has an impressive professional journey that spans twenty years and is best known for developing the MBCK quantitative test, which has been used as the gold standard to diagnose heart attacks for three decades, and discovering several genes responsible for heart disease.
