I am a MA Media Studies Student in Film JK Rowling’s Harry Potter Series started my interest in reading. I love how her characters develop from book to book. It gave me so much insight about character development and it helped me greatly with my current work. I grew up watching Teleseryes and melodramatic films, hence my penchant to love movies that grip the heart. Michael Haneke’s Amour is painfully unforgettable for me. But Wong Kar-wai is my favorite filmmaker. He is a visual dramaturgist. His films are quiet but speaks volume in representing the self and the struggles within his characters. I enjoy musicals and love listening to pieces from musicals. My absolute favorite is Still Hurting from The Last Five Years. It is timeless as hurting in any level or form is part of human existence. My favorite website is www.youtube.com for the myriad of contents it offers. My favorite meal of all time is chicken tinola cooked by my mother. I go home to Mindanao from time to time just to taste it. My hobbies include swimming, running, biking, and cooking. I’m also passionate about coffee and coffee brewing.
