His professional journey began in Brazil, where he graduated as valedictorian in Electrical Engineering. Early experience designing high-voltage substations and electrical systems helped him develop a strong understanding of how infrastructure operates under real-world conditions. This technical grounding played a vital role in shaping his leadership approach as he took on broader responsibilities. In 2011, Rafael Amaral of Florida joined a global energy company, starting in wind commissioning and site management. He was responsible for turbine delivery, engineering coordination, and customer interactions. Over time, he led service teams across various Latin American countries, managing a $10 million region with approximately 120 employees. These roles strengthened his ability to guide diverse teams in challenging environments. Rafael moved into global leadership, overseeing workforce planning for approximately 1,600 field employees across 25 countries. He later led global operations valued at nearly $190 million, applying lean principles to improve safety, reduce rework, and increase efficiency across projects. Rafael continued his leadership journey in North America and the Americas, managing over 1,200 employees and up to $160 million in revenue. In 2024, he directed the integration of more than 10 acquired companies into a unified operating platform. That same year, he was named Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all construction and operations across the U.S. and Canada. Throughout his career, Rafael Amaral has remained focused on dependable execution, operational discipline, and delivering lasting value in the renewable energy space.
